As the new year approaches, it’s the perfect time to reflect, set goals, and create systems to stay organized and on track. This year, I’m focusing on decluttering, organizing, and building a supportive community through Boram.

As the new year approaches, it’s a great time to reflect, set goals, and create systems that keep us organized and on track. This year, I’m focusing on several key areas to ensure I can achieve all my goals and build a supportive community through Boram. Here’s a look at my plan and some tips that might inspire you too.

Decluttering for a Fresh Start

One of the first steps in my preparation is decluttering. I’m letting go of things that no longer serve me, making room for what’s truly important in the coming year. Decluttering not only helps create a more organized space but also clears mental clutter, allowing us to focus better on our goals.

Tips for Decluttering:

  1. Start Small: Tackle one room or even one drawer at a time to avoid feeling overwhelmed.

  2. Categorize: Sort items into categories: keep, donate, recycle, or discard.

  3. Set Goals: Decide how much time you’ll dedicate to decluttering each day or week.

Organizing for Success

To stay organized and achieve my goals, I’m creating systems that streamline my tasks and responsibilities. This involves setting up schedules, planning my days, and simplifying tools to help me stay on top of everything.

Tips for Staying Organized:

  1. Use one app for each (Capture, Tasks and Calendar): I’m actually using google keep for both capture and tasks. Then I am using iCalendar to keep all my appointments.

  2. Write down all projects and prioritize them: I’ve created a Projects folder in my Google Drive and put the priorities at the top so I can access them easily.

  3. Regular Review: I am implementing an end of day task closing session to help me prepare better for the next day. I am also going to be doing weekend resets to help me have more momentum on Mondays.

Building a Supportive Community

I believe in the power of community, which is why I want to host more social events through Boram. These events will help my family and others in our community connect and support each other.

Tips for Building Community:

  1. Host Regular Events: In 2025 we plan to host regular gatherings or activities that bring people together.

  2. Encourage Participation: My goal is to make sure everyone feels welcome and included in our Boram events.

  3. Foster Connections: I love meeting new people, so I am hoping that through our community, our families have many opportunities to get to know each other and build lasting relationships.

Expanding Boram’s Reach

This year, I’m also focused on improving the Boram Swap system to help families across Korea. My goal is to have Boram clearly established in Daegu and start expanding to other cities. By creating a supportive network, we can bring people together and provide much-needed resources.

Goals for Boram:

  1. Strengthen Boram in Daegu: I hope to strengthen our presence and build a solid foundation in Daegu.

  2. Expand to Other Cities: We want to help families all across Korea, so we hope that more families want to join us in our efforts to create a supportive online and in person community.

  3. Provide Boram Support: We have members all across Korea, and I hope that more families receive the help and support they need through our community.

Embracing Change

Our world is changing, and so must we. By staying organized, decluttering, building community, and focusing on growth, we can navigate these changes and make a positive impact. Here’s to a new year filled with new opportunities and the realization of our goals! Let’s embrace the new year with a clear vision and a strong commitment to making it our best year yet.
